Two policemen were killed while four other policemen were injured in an accident in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, on Monday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2 pm in Purok 3, Barangay Guilawa.
The deceased were identified as Police Corporal Jource Jake Celestial and Police Corporal Alexander Laquinon Jr.
Police Corporal Rommel Apiong, Police Patrolman Estephen Rey Alicando, Patrolman Arcel Matugas, and Patrolman Logie S. Cerbo were wounded.
All of the victims were policemen at the Malangas Municipal Police Station.

According to the investigation, six policemen were riding in a Navarra Frontier pick-up truck driven by Apiong going to Diplahan town.
The vehicle overshoot on a curve road on Purok 3 in Barangay Guilawa, and collided with a mahogany tree.
The pick-up truck looked like a pressed tin can after the accident.
A motorcycle was also damaged in the incident.
Residents worked together to save the victims.
Police were rushed to Wilfredo Palma Memorial Hospital in Diplusan, but two of them were pronounced dead on arrival.
It was learned that six policemen had been assigned to Diplusan to retrieve the materials needed at the Christmas party on Wednesday, December 17th.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
