The suspect allegedly fought with the police with the gun taken from the first policeman he killed. Cano was later killed as well.

The suspect is said to be out of jail due to various cases related to illegal drugs. However, Cano is also on the barangay’s drug watchlist.

Police Regional Office 5 appealed to the Bicol police to place their flags on the half-mast in the next few days to show sympathy to the two cops who were killed.

Meanwhile, an LGBTQ member was found bloody and lifeless in Barangay Pahinga Norte, Candelaria, Quezon, past 6 a.m. this Saturday.

A gunshot wound found the victim’s body.

According to a Candelaria Municipal Police Station report, the 30-year-old victim identified as Zaldy Manlolo Custodio was last seen drinking with two youths in the barangay on Friday night.

The two youths were immediately invited to the precinct for questioning, and Mark Joseph admitted to the crime.

The suspect said the victim touched him many times. Because it allegedly did not stop touching him, he allegedly left and took a gun.

When he returned, he took the victim to the bushy part of the barangay and shot him there.
