Navotas also provides free COVID-19 testing

Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco encourages Navoteño to take advantage of the free COVID testing provided by the city that started yesterday.

According to Tiangco, Navotas will increase the number of residents brought daily to the swabbing Palacio de Manila. The local government said it would target 1,000 individuals from the initial 300 target, giving priority to close contacts of COVID-positive patients and volunteers who want to be tested.

The city will also hold lockdown swab testing from July 23 to tomorrow, July 25, for 3,000 residents where priority will be given to senior citizens, pregnant women, minors, and persons with disabilities.

Interested residents must fill out a case investigation form that can be downloaded from Navoteño Ako, the city government’s Facebook page. Such form, together with a copy of valid ID, must be forwarded or e-mailed to the barangay office.

The barangay and City Health Office will check if the documents are complete and will give residents their swab test schedule, where they will need to bring a valid ID, wear a mask, and follow social distancing and other safety measures.
