Abu Sayyaf has given the family of an 18-year-old Filipino boy notice that they have beheaded him after a ransom demand was not met.
18-year-old Patrick Almodovar was reportedly beheaded by the terrorist organisation somewhere in Sulu. The rebel group called the family and informed them of their actions.
Sources say the terrorist organization gave a 3pm Wednesday deadline to the family to pay one million pesos.
Patrick was taken while the family was praying in Jolo on July 16.
Military officials said they have not confirmed if the group in fact has beheaded the young hostage.
