A 14-year-old teenager who has been recently released from a mental hospital killed his relative 5-year-old boy in Tuao, Cagayan, on Tuesday.
According to Major Reymund Asistores, Chief of Police, the suspect under the name Roger himself told the police where he hid the child’s lifeless body. Roger leads them to the middle of the cornfield, around noon. There they found the victim’s hacked and bloody body.
However, investigators did not find any murder weapon in the crime scene.
According to reports, the 5-year-old boy’s parents left him under the suspect’s care to work in the harvest field at 7:00 in the morning.
Roger’s grandmother said she would often see Roger talking alone and seemed to have a conversation with an evil spirit. This is why they decided to bring the suspect to the city’s mental hospital. However, the doctor allowed the teenager to go home after some time.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) took the minor suspect under their custody.

Neighbors just woke up the victim’s mother and said they saw the suspect carrying the child and took her in the crime scene, only a few meters away from their home.
The suspect was about to rape the child, but he panicked and got terrified when he sensed that people are coming, so he hit the 5-year-old girl in the head, causing her death.
