12 children in Taytay hospitalized after drinking expired juice from LGU

(We are also investigating. But all we can say is, we are only dealing with reputable suppliers who are accredited with FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and then there are permits from our national government.)

“Sakali mang mayroon silang mga pagkakasalang ganyan (if they have negligence), the municipal government will prosecute them. We will file charges against these suppliers,” the mayor added.

According to Jennalyn Libres, her son is still happy while drinking the juice. But after a few minutes, he weakened and vomited.

It is said that the other children felt the same.

“Abdominal pain, vomiting, tapos LBM (loose bowel movement). Pare-parehas sila nang kaunti,” said Mark Jayson Pulumbarit, one of the members of the responding rescue team.

“Ang tinitingnan dito ay possible food poisoning (we are looking at possible food poisoning),” dagdag niya.

The local government has ensured that it will continue to monitor the condition of the children.

According to StillTasty, properly stored, unopened juice boxes will generally stay at their best quality for about 12 to 18 months, although they will usually remain safe to use after that.
