So far, at least 21 police officers are now in hot water after authorities discovered that they submitted fake documents during their recruitment into police service.

Authorities said the erring cops are currently assigned to different police units throughout Central Luzon.

The men have been stripped of their uniforms after they were found to have fraudulent eligibility from the Civil Service Commission.

The anomaly was discovered after authorities received reports about fake CSC certificates being issued to civilians who were attempting to join the regular police force through fraudulent means.

Currently police are sorting all CSC documents, including those from the National Police Commission, which were submitted by applicants over the past several years.

CSC or Napolcom eligibility were among the requirements submitted for police applicants before being admitted into the PNP as recruits.

Several ex-officers have voluntarily resigned from service, while other’s are undergoing ‘pre-charge evaluation’ and will eventually be dismissed from service without any criminal or even administrative charges.

Authorities said that Nueva Ecija topped the number of applicants found to have submitted counterfeit documents, followed by Bulacan City and Olongapo City.
