A teenager hacked his 85-year-old grandmother to death and ate her heart in a mountain village near Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old boy said “Trip Lang” when asked why he killed his grandmother at 2am in her house.
Ruben Fernandez Jalaman admitted to the police that he ate the heart of his grandmother. Jalaman will be subjected to psychiatric testing.
A report at the scene of the crime found that the village watchmen of Tapi went to the house of the grandmother on Tuesday morning after neighbours reported that they heard the woman screaming for help.
The watchmen went inside and found the elderly woman lifeless, her chest ripped open and her heart gone. Ruben was in the house when the watchmen arrived and told them he had killed his grandmother and ate her heart.
The town watchmen arrested the young man and called the Kabankalan Police.
