Typhoon Maysak has now turned directly into the Philippines area of responsibility and has now been renamed ‘Typhoon Chedeng.’
Meteorologists now warn northern Philippines will receive a direct hit from the typhoon. The storm is passing somewhere near Yap Island and will continue its west-northwest direction, appearing to hit directly on northern Luzon either Easter Sunday or Monday.
