Korean esidents of Cebu will enjoy the added bonus of a Consular Office opening in the city on March 18.
Opening ceremonies will be performed on the 17 with the office open for business the next day.
The Korean Consular Office will be located on the 12th floor of the Chinabank Corporate Center at Cebu Business Park in Cebu City.
Consul General Lee Ki-seog said the office will cover the entire region of the Visayas from Iloilo, Bohol, Boracay and Cebu regions.
“Our consular office is just small and we will be focusing on consular services,” Lee said. The office will have three diplomats including Lee and six assistant staffers.
More than 25,000 Koreans live full-time in the Visayas with 400,000 visiting here last year alone.
