Sotheby’s Auction House in Hong Kong has announced it will auction one of the rarest white jade imperial seals to come to auction in some years. The ‘Yongzheng Yubi Zhi Bao’ seal comes with its origianl ivory-inlaid box and cover – the box is marked in Chinese characters “Treasure Penned by His Majesty the Yongzheng Emperor.”
The rare seal has a pre-sale auction estimate of $4 to $5 million dollars – but experts believe it will bring at least two to three times that amount, if not more.
