Sales of Italian Luxury car maker Maserati have surged to an all time high in 2014. A record 250 per cent jump in their Southeast Asia and Pacific region sales has put the car maker into a well deserved slot.
The growth was driven by the launch of the new Ghibli, Maserati’s first four-door sports executive sedan, and the brand’s flagship model, the Quattroporte. The Ghibli alone has accounted for over 60% of the sales increase from last year alone.
The Ghibli accounted for just over 60 percent of retail sales in the region. Another favorite, the GranCabrio and GranTurismo sports car models also accounted for a massive chunk of the jump in overall sales for the region.
South Korea took the top spot for Maserati, seeing an overall 469% sales jump or 36% of the company’s overall market share. Australia was also a hot spot and came in second after the company reported a 207% sales growth in 2014.
