Homicide investigation has ruled out the possibility of a suicide in last week’s death of Dieter Friedrich Meyer, a 66-year-old Dutchman who was found dead inside his pension house room last week.

Authorities now believe that he was murdered, and that more than one person took park in killing him.

The girlfriend of Meyer’s has already been fulled investigated, she originally claimed she went to the pension house last Friday to return Meyer’s iPhone (in an apparent break up).

The girlfriend claimed that Meyer never answered the door after she knocked several times – she then left the iPhone as the front desk with the pension house staff.

An investigation into the matter shows that the phone was in fact left with the staff – police are saying that the girl is not yet off-the-hook as the investigation continues.

Police are now waiting the results of an autopsy ordered on the body of Meyer’s – that result should be final within the week.

Dieter Friedrich Meyer was found dead in his room last Saturday inside his room in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu.

The victim sustained wounds to his head, and had several bruises throughout his body. Police believe the injury to his head was severe enough to have caused his death.
