The Philippines Consulate General in Los Angeles, California, is set to transfer to a new location this month. The new address is located at 3435 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 550, Los Angeles, CA 90010.
“In this connection, the Philippine Consulate General will be closed on February 27 and re-open on March 2 at the new location,” the Consulate General said.
The new location is just four blocks away from its present address – the moves is part of a larger effort of the Consulate General to deliver better client experience and enhance the image and presentation of the Philippines in Southern California.
The regions of southern California have blossomed into one of the major demographic regions of the U.S. for Filipinos. In the 1970s only about 5,000 Filipinos called Southern California home, 2010 consensus puts estimates at around 3.4 million with those numbers expected to climb to five million by 2020.
