Philippine police security team website hacked by anti-Israel activist

The online website of the Philippine National Police Security and Protection Group has been defaced by an unknown hacker who posted pro-Palestinian remarks on the site.

The PSPG website had a blackout screen with the message “Hacked by Leon HDZ,” and carried a series of anti-Israel remarks.

Under Republic Act #8792 (the Electronic Commerce Act), hacking is a criminal offence in the Philippines and is punishable by up to three years in jail and fines of 100,000 pesos.

PSPG is a primary unit of the PNP who provides security to government officials and individuals in need of protection.
