A young man from Papua New Guinea was arrested two days ago for subjecting a young women to sexual harassment.
Jason Chalapan Gesa, aged 25, a student at Adamson University, and currently living at Mevin Terraces in Malate, Manila, was arrested after he chased a women near the Manila Zoo.
Gesa is facing charges of ‘unjust vexation’ and acts of lasciviousness after 32-year-old Lorraine Angel Tiongson, a sales representative of Malate, was waiting a jeepney ride at 10.30am when Gesa approached her, put his arm around her waist and asked her to have sex with him.
Tiongson told police that she attempted to walk away from Gesa but he followed her while continuously asking her to have sex with him. She then shouted for help.
Her calls prompted an elderly man to seek the assistance of police who were patrolling the area.
Gesa was questioned and arrested. He is now facing charges before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
