The driver of a jeepney was shot in the head by an irate pedestrian who claimed he was nearly run over.

According to witnesses, 35-year-old Jerick Accad of Taguig City narrowly missed the pedestrian as he was crossing the street. The pedestrian then pulled out a gun and shot the driver at point blank range.

Witnesses also say that the driver tried to apologise for the incident. However, the gunman then slapped him in the face, causing a cut to his left eyebrow, before pulling out his gun and shooting him once in the head.

The incident happened at 3pm along Arnaiz Avenue. Witnesses described the gunman as 5′ 7″ tall, bulky and with a shiny bald head. Onlookers also said he walked with a slight limp.

It has not been confirmed whether the driver survived the shooting.
