The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of Pampanga, along with the Bureau of Immigration arrested a Korean who was hiding out in the Philippines after committing a crime in South Korea.
45-year-old Kim Hansang of Mabalacat City was arrested at the Duri Internet Cafe in Mabalacat last week after authorities issued a warrant of arrest against him via a request by police in Seoul.
The request from Seoul was dated August 31 – that request also named another Korean who is facing charges under “special robbery.”
BI officials also said the two suspects lured two Koreans into the Philippines several months ago and extorted 50 million Korean won from them.
Hansang was turned over to the Bureau of Immigration for deportation
