The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that an Irishman was stabbed to death by his Filipina girlfriend’s ex-partner inside a restaurant.

53-year-old Keith Collins, along with his partner 38-year-old Jovy Pilapil were inside a busy Korean restaurant in Sydney when 44-year-old Alexander Villaluna, the ex-husband of Jovy, attacked them.

Villaluna and Jovy have three children together and had been separated since last November after Jovy sought an AVO, or apprehended violence order, against her husband.

Collins, who was living in Terrigal on the Central Coast was also a single parent.

Sources say that Jovy had posted on her social media accounts that she had just received a bunch of flowers from a “secret admirer” prompting many to believe they may have come from Collins.

Jovy and Collins were said to be on their first date. Sources say she met Collins on a dating website and the two had agreed to meet at the Bangam BBQ in Westfield Hornsby.

However, the date turned tragic after Villaluna walked into the restaurant and took out a large kitchen knife and stabbed his ex-wife in the chest. She managed to crawl upstairs where she later collapsed.

Villaluna then turned to Collins and stabbed him in the neck, cutting his throat open. He died at the scene and the suspect walked out of the restaurant.

He walked back in 15 minutes later and surrendered to police who had arrived at the scene of the crime.

Villaluna is facing murder charges for Collin’s death, and attempted murder for the attack on his ex-wife.
