A 27-year-old Indian man was found dead of strangulation in a sugar plantation in a remote village in Matalam on Thursday.
Police say the victim had bruises around his neck, leading them to believe he was choked to death with a rope.
Authorities also believe Brar was a victim of a hold-up or robbery.
Brar had a lending business in Kidapawan City and also did 5/6 lending in various regions of North Cotabato.
The sugar plantation is owned by Tobias Nicor located at Barangay New Bugasong in Matalam.
