Immigration agents arrest American wanted for child sex crimes in Texas

An American paedophile wanted for child sex offences in Texas has been arrested by immigration agents.

Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Jaime Morente said Christopher Wayne Walker, aged 60, was arrested at his home in Darasa, Tanauan City, Batangas, by operatives from the BI’s fugitive search unit.

“Walker was arrested at the request of the US embassy in Manila which informed the BI about his presence in the country and his record as a sex offender,” Mr Morente said.

Walker is the subject of outstanding Texan arrest warrants for jumping bail and promoting child pornography.

The BI issued a summary deportation order against Walker last month for posing a risk to public safety and for being an undocumented alien after his passport was cancelled by the US government.

Walker is now detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.

He has been placed in the immigration blacklist and banned from re-entering the Philippines once he is deported.
