Four young children drowned in a swimming pool at Tabogon, Cebu, on Sunday.
The children were aged from six to 10. The parents of the victims told officials that the kids did not know how to swim. They were thought to have entered the backside of a property that does not have a perimeter fence around it as it is still under construction.
The home is being built by an Australian and his wife, Marive Subingsubing – at the time of the incident no one was home and the children were unsupervised.
The children were found by the one parent after they did not return home at 5pm. All four were found floating in the pool – attempts to revive them were unsuccessful. They were rushed to Severo Verallo Memorial Hospital in Bogo City where they all were declared dead on arrival.
