Five people, including a policewoman, suffered serious injuries when a carabao slated for slaughter went on a final rampage through the village on New Year’s Eve.
The carabao escaped from the Gutierrez Compound in Barangay Putik just before 1am and gored police officer Sylvaia Dicen, six-year-old Gian Ozzy Castro, 34-year-old Joseph Pulad, 20-year-old Sarah Jean Seballo and 15-year-old Shikenah Tuerres.

The victims were all taken to the Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center. A sixth victim riding a motorcycle was also knocked down but was unhurt.
