Vergoossen was in Davao to celebrate the 79th Araw ng Dabaw – he told Sun.Star he is in the city for the next week with his friends who are also from the Netherlands.

“We need more European people to come here and experience Davao and Mindanao, because you have a nice place, may it be for diving, beach, hiking, trekking, and ecotourism. I am very proud to be here and meet the wonderful people of the Philippines,” Vergoossen added.
