Roland Recamono, head of the Office of Transportation Security (OTS) has said he was “not aware that four Filpinas carrying 2.5 kilos of cocaine have been arrested in Hong Kong.”

Recamono said “This is the first time I learned of this information,” in an interview with ABS-CBN News this morning.

Rcamono seemed surprised that 2.5 kilos of cocaine was able to slip past the X-ray machines at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila.

Perhaps the NAIA screeners were too busy planting bullets into unsuspecting travellers’ luggage?

Earlier today, the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed the arrest of the four Filipinas when their flight from Manila arrived in Hong Kong.

Airport sources said the four women departed the Philippines on Cebu Pacific on September 26.
