The Davao City Police Office has lowered the Philippine flag to half-mast in their grief over the death of at least 50 members of the Philippines National Police Special Action Forces. The killings were in part when the group encounters members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front or MILF this past Sunday.

On Monday the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) police released 41 names of PNP-SAF killed in action in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
