The Metro Clark area is being looked at as a possible medical tourism hotspot within the country.
Officials of Clark Freeport discussed the matter at a recent meeting in the Widus Hotel and Casino with top health tourism officials based in Kuwait.
Officials from Ace International Health Tourism of Kuwait said that Clark has a huge potential of becoming a medical capital in the Philippines.
The Medical City (TMC) Clark invited Ace to assist them in a campaign to bring medical tourism to Clark.
The meeting gave a broad overview of those traveling to the Middle East seeking medical attention.
Officials from Ace also hope to play a part in the realisation of the project, telling officials what is needed to make the proposal possible.
Officials also said that Qatar and Emirates must be included in the project as the airlines will play a major part in bringing tourists from the Middle East for medical tourism.
Emirates has terminals in Mactan Cebu, as well as Clark International Airport.
