A Chinese man was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) this week after he tried to board a flight with five empty 9mm shells in his luggage.
36-year-old Shida Huang was departing for China via China Southern Airlines when he was arrested.

An x-ray inspector said he spotted the objects inside his luggage. A manual search was performed and police were called to the scene for possession of the empty bullets.
The man was released after “proper documentation procedures”, while the shells were confiscated and turned over to the Intelligence and Investigation Section of the National Capital Region-Aviation Security Unit for disposal.
