Charred body found cemented into steel drum in Bulacan

A foul odour coming from a steel drum dumped in Calle Malabon led to the discovery of a body inside, one which had been burned as well as cemented.

Forensic experts said they will resort to DNA testing to determine the identity of the charred body which was found by farmers and the village watchmen in a rice field in Barangay Parada Thursday night.

Residents of the village say they stumbled upon the drum covered in sacks and bound by rope and reported it to the local police.

The body is so charred and cemented the gender of the victim cannot be identified at this time. Police believe that the killing took place somewhere else and dumped in the rice field to mislead authorities.
