THREE of the most recognisable beauties of the Philippines have come together for a unique photoshoot.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa were photographed together for a book entitled The Crown: The Making of A Queen.
The glossy publication is due to be released by Jonas Gaffud, of Aces & Queens beauty queen training camp, next February
Behind-the-scenes pictures from the photoshoot were released on the official Miss Universe Facebook page under the title “that Filipina magic.”
Megan won the title in 2013, the first Miss World to hail from the Philippines. Pia was crowned in 2015, making her the third Filipina Miss Universe, and Kylie won Miss International last October, becoming the country’s sixth title holder.
Pia is currently helping to build momentum for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, which is being held in the Philippines. Contestants have already begun to arrive in the country in anticipation of the grand finale on January 30.
Recently, rumours have been swirling that President Duterte will be asked to join the pageant’s panel of judges, but no confirmation is yet forthcoming.
What has been confirmed, however, is that Steve Harvey will again be host, despite his toe-curling gaffe at last year’s event.
At the 2015 final, he wrongly announced the winner to be Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez. Moments later he was forced to make the embarrassing admission that he’d been mistaken, and the winner was actually Miss Wurtenbach, for the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the Filipino candidate for Miss World has already arrived in Washington DC in preparation for the final on December 18.
As we recently reported here, Catriona Elisa Gray is clear favourite with bookmakers, with odds of 5/1 being offered by Paddy Power.
