Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu – Three mothers have been arrested by NBI agents in Lapu-Lapu City after they were observed by local and national police officials in separate incidents throughout the city.
In all, six female witnesses, including two minors, were rescued from the cybersex dens – the three busts included a much larger group of cybersex victims, including a total of 11 minors, some who were the mother’s own children and relatives.
The names of the suspects are being withheld by NBI – authorities were tipped off after receiving viable information about the cybersex dens.
NBI says they have collected evidence in the case including money transfer receipts – they hope to also find more information on computers and hand held devices which were confiscated at the scene.
All three women are being held in local jails – they will face human trafficking charges among other pending charges, all of which are un-bailable.
