Kenneth Rosebush, aged 65, has been arrested and held by NBI agents for allegedly luring minors to his house to have sex with them.
Rosebush is a resident of Capistrano Complex subdivision in Cagayan de Oro City and was arrested on Tuesday night.
The American is currently going through inquest proceedings after officials put him under surveillance following a complaint from a mother of one of his victims.
Authorities said that a 15-year-old girl who was working for Rosebush, possibly as a recruiter, was also arrested in the raid.
Rosebush is said to have had a young live in helper/lover but after he broke up with her he promised a ‘good life’ to a 16-year-old girl who was his assistant at the time. The 16-year-old girl’s mother found out about the relationship and filed a report with local police.
Oddly in this case and many others, no report was filed against the American until he dumped the 16-year-old and went back to living with his former assistant.
The mother of the 16-year-old girl says she did not know her daughter was having an affair with Rosebush – facts however show that the girl was sporting a new tablet and cellphone.
Rosebush will be charged with “human trafficking”. Authorities say that Rosebush is the 24th case of human trafficking since the beginning of the year in the CDO region.
In all, eleven cases were reported in Misamis Oriental, eight in Bukidnon, three in Misamis Occidental and three in Iligan City. Two of the cases involved sexual expolitation, 13 illegal recruitment, seven child trafficking and one for prostitution with forced labour.
