The family spokesman confirmed the death on Monday afternoon. 23-year-old Smith, who suffered a unanimous decision to Moralde, was rushed to the hospital on Staurday night when he collapsed after the fight. He later underwent two operations to remove a blood clot in his brain.
Moralde had expressed his hope for the recovery of Smith, saying: “I wish he will come back from this. He is a good fighter and a good man.”
