Woodward was held for questioning after he presented his passport to the Immigration officer at NAIA Terminal 3.

Based on an Interpol alarm for the lookout for Woodward, the Australian national was to be sentenced in his country and appears to have fled to the Philippines to avoid prosecution. Australian Interpol alerted Philippines Immigration to be on the lookout for the offender in case he arrives in Manila.

Woodward was intercepted at 6pm on Tuesday after flying from Syndney to Manila via Cebu Pacific. The suspect will be held till his deportation processing.

Woodward’s case brings to light the pedophile case of one Peter Scully, an Australian caught in Maylaybalay City for his part in a string of sexual encounters involving children as young as two – even killing one and burying her body in a septic tank.
