The couple are being accused of forcing the young girl to have sex with the foreigner in front of her mother, who is the live-in partner of the Australian. The acts are said to have happened in their rented home in Barangay Taytayan in Bogo City.

Police say the arrest comes after the girl reported the incident to her father’s family in Medellin last week. The girl’s parents are separated and she lives with her mother Diana (age 34) and Kenneth (aged 59, the Australian). Their names are being with-held to protect the girl’s identity.

The girl told authorities that strange things started to happen when they transferred to Bogo City on February 10 this year, far from the eyes of the girl’s other relatives. The incidents started after her mother forced her to watch a sex video. On several occasions the young girl was abused by the Australian – even going as far as the couple having ‘threesomes’ with the girl.

After the girl failed to arrive home on Thursday, her mother went looking for her and sought the help of the Medellin Police.

The police located Rica and learned about what she had allegedly gone through, which prompted them to turn her over to the Bogo City Police Station.

When the Bogo City police started interviewing Rica and got details of the alleged abuse, they took Diana, who had accompanied her daughter, into custody.

Last Friday, the police arrested Kenneth inside their rented house. The girl has also accused the Australian of using shabu.

Police are preparing to press charges against the couple for violating Republic Act #10364 the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons act as well as RA #8353 – the Anti-Rape Law of 1997. The couple will also be charged with RA #7610 – the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
