Police Chief Superintendent Vicente Danao has today (Monday, March 18) identified the suspect as Joel Pasay, aged 56, who is married and living at Deca Homes Clark.

Cf. Supt. Danao said that a joint operation was conducted by the Manila Police District, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the US Department Homeland Security. Pasay was detained at his home at about 1.30pm yesterday under a US arrest warrant.

On October 29 last year, the BI issued a deportation order against Pasay after the US Department of Homeland Security learned that he was living in the Philippines.

Cf. Supt. Danao said they initially received a tip-off that Pasay was living in Tondo, Manila.

However, when the police arrived in the area, the BI informant said that Pasay was nowhere to be found and had possibly moved to Angeles City.

Pasay was charged with violation of Receipt of Child Pornography Title 18 United States Code 2252A(a)(2) issued by United States District Court for the District of Nevada on May 2, 2017.

The US court said that he allegedly distributed materials that contained child pornography in the state of Nevada.
