An American has been arrested in Bacolod for a warrant of arrest for sexual assault in the state of Kentucky.
50-year-old Kent Thomas Kuszajenski – also known as Alex Arnold Stevens (a fictitious name he was using) was apprehended in Bacolod today at 7am.
The National Bureau of Investigation arrested Stevens at his rented apartment at Olympia Village in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod.
The action followed a deportation order and arrest issues by the Philippines Government against the suspect.
Kuszajenski was facing an arrest warrant issued by a Kentucky State court for sexual assault. The American fled to the Philippines, prompting the US Government to cancel his passport.
The Philippines Government later declared the American an illegal alien and ordered his deportation.
Kuszajenski had been living in Bacolod for the past seven weeks, claiming to be working for a credit card company as an agent.
