An American and his Filipina wife who had just arrived for a relaxing break were robbed of their bags and valuables at a hotel.
Kris Zingarelli and his wife told police when they returned to their room their bags were missing. Inside the bags was $10,000 US dollars and another 25,000 pesos which they planned to spend during their stay in the country.
The bags were said to also contain jewellery, gadgets, and important documents including the couple’s passports.
The bags were discovered just a few metres away from the hotel with everything gone but the couple’s documents.
The American told police that there were two men outside their room before the robbery took place. Police discovered that the two suspects were identified as Norman White and Jhomar Dimilanta of the same town.
Zingarelli and his wife have filed formal charges against the two.
